The location of the hotel is awesome, just amid Ocean Drive and lot of restaurants, an amazing spot where to start your travel around Miami Beach. Services are good and the staff is welcoming and available to any request. Check-in and check-out time are very comfortable and allows you to enjoy the vacation from the very first to the last day and hour. Coffee quality and taste is definitely amazing in the room (word of an italian traveler). The pool area is very nice and small, and you can enjoy a bath or a chilling time, just two steps away from your room. The beach is just across the the Park and the hotel provides both towels and beach chairs: a service that is totally useful and comfortable. Overall the quality of the hotel is medium-high, with renewed places and very nice rooms. At the ground floor is located the cuban restaurant "Havana 1957", which is perfect to enjoy a huge and wonderful meal with even some discount. The only negative note is the presence of open discos and restaurants that could result uncomfortable for some guests (for me it was definitely good to feel parties all around). However, we are talking about Miami Beach...enjoy the life then!!!

Breakwater hotel was located in the heart of South Beach. We met some really friendly and helpful staff (including Lizza...and another bubbly young lady, but we didn't catch her name). Great location for enjoying the beach, shopping and nightlife. We also took advantage of the free bike rental (suggestion would be to bring your own bike lock...they were hard to find in South Beach). No better way to get a lay of the land and see a lot in less time than biking. We really got a great view of the city . Also enjoyed the free bottled water, beach chairs and beach towel use. Typical hotel room, well kept and clean. Nice mini bar with refrigerator, coffee/espresso maker, roomy room with desk, TV and nice spacious bathroom. 2 restaurants are attached, and they offer discounts (as mentioned in other posts) at several other restaurants including Redhead Sandwiches (really nice breakfast, and super nice owner & staff), and you'll find great gelato at Mammamia Gelato, and a nice discount.

They properly is located heart of the Miami south beach and reception to all other people except velvet parking guy, all are really friendly and try to address all what we need for their level best. They provide Beaches towels and discount prices for few other restaurants for foods. Meals are bit expensive the restaurant attached to it but it good quality one. They provide beach chairs too. But those are just a basic chair and you can’t pull your legs and sleep and you have to carry those chairs from hotel all the way to beach which is a pain. They would have purchased few of beach chairs and provide token. (Renting Beach chairs would be $20 per item at the beach) Room is really nice and comfortable and 2 min walk to beach. There is a ice cream shop over there and you might want to tryouts.

We stayed twice on our trip. First time our room was towards the back of the hotel overlooking the back of the restaurant and where the staff sorted dishes. It was noisy into the early hours. We returned a week later after travelling elsewhere in the USA and had a "sea view" room. This is a bit misleading as unless you are up really high, the trees between the hotel and the sea are high and dense. We had a slither of a view of the sea which was fine. The room with the "sea view" was much better than the room at the back. The rooms were a good size, lovely bed linen and towels. Bonus for us was having a fridge and access to an ice machine. Amazing place to stay along South Beach (we are a bit old for the nightlife) but loved the vibe in the area.

Lili and Kai were GREAT. Super friendly, super helpful, and accommodating. They get 10/10. Free water bottles for guests, free beach towels, free pool towels. There is also a list they give you of stores nearby that give you a discount for being a hotel guest. The restaurant, Havana 1957, has great music and a great vibe. Oh, and the lobby smells amazing!!
